Pogba Asks His 'Haters' To Forget His Transfer Fee
Paul Pogba has expressed his frustration at critics expecting too much from him due to his huge transfer fee, he said the fee has led to unrealistic expectations from him and he has urged his critics to forget his price tag.
The Manchester United youth product left the club and had four successful years at Italian club Juventus. The re-signing of Pogba at £89.3m which could reach £92.35m with ad ons broke the world transfer fee record, with that amount of money spent it surely led to high expectations, something he 24 year old is struggling to live up to, believing that he is a player who dictates the game and not a striker.
"The people are looking at me. They judge me for not scoring goals and stuff like this.If I was scoring goals, the people wouln't talk like this but it's football. The transfer is something else, on the pitch is something else", Pogba said in a press conference ahead of Manchester United's clash with Anderlecht in Belgium.
The French midfielder opined that his job was to 'make the game',get the assists and not necessarily scoring the goals.
Pogba has scored 7 goals in 43 appearances since his return to England and has come under fire from ex- United players for not influencing the game enough.
