Chelsea have failed to agree a transfer fee with Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko , the French Ligue 1 club is holding out for a £45m bid.
The midfielder has a host of admirers in England but has set his eyes on a move to Chelsea, but while the London club are willing to part with £27m Monaco actually value Bakayoko at £42m, causing a stall in transfer negotioations.
Chelsea have been in negotiations with the French champions for the past one month for the 22 year old's signature but an initial bid had been turned down by Monaco.
