Pregnant Coolen Urges Wayne To Stay Outta The Game For A While
The Sun reports that Wayne Rooney's pregnant wife Coolen has urged her husband to stay out of football for a while in a bid to save their marriage. Wayne was arrested for drink driving last week and has since been given a 'last warning' by Everton boss Ronald Koeman.
Cooleen is urging the former England and Manchester United captain to seek a 'sympathetic leave' from the club to help them work through their issues.
Despite the scandal Rooney, played out the full 90 minutes in their 3-0 loss to Tottenham at Goodison Park after the manager confirmed him mentally ready to perform on the pitch.
Rooney hit the headlines for wrong reasons after being arrested driving Laura Simpson's VW Beetle car while drunk. Coolen was not at the game against Tottenham on Saturday but reports suggest she is willing to put her family in order but will require her husband to be granted a leave by Everton.
The leave may not be granted so the couple may have to wait till the next International break in October.
Reports suggest that Coolen is more incensed by Rooney's 'drink-drive' charge more than being found in the company of another woman.
Everton's club chairman Bill Kenwright have already held heart-to-heart talks with Rooney and the clubs stance on 'drink-driving' is clear. The club haven't given Rooney any penalty but there's a Court hearing slated for September 18th.
