Spain Hold England With Late Show
England hosted Spain in a thrilling encounter last night at Wembley. The hosts took the lead after just nine minutes, Adam Lallana converted from the penalty spot after Jamie Vardy was fouled in the area.
Vardy then made it two after the break when he sneaked in behind the Spanish defence to nod home, his first goal in 15 games for club and country and gave a mannequin challenge celebration.
England must have thought they were running away with victory but in the 89th minute Iago Aspas grabbed what might have appeared to be consolation goal, only for Real Madrid midfielder to earn the visitors a draw in the sixth minute of added time.
England's manager Gareth Southgate whose temporary stint has come to an end will await to know if he will be offered the job on a permanent basis.
