According to ESPN FC West Ham are looking to end Simone Zaza's contract as they look to sign a new striker in January.
Zaza,25, on loan from Juventus has struggled to make a telling impact with the hammers since joining in August.
The Italian has failed to score in nine appearances and has come under fire for his performances, Zaza has a tricky clause in his loan deal which will trigger a permanent £20 million transfer if he makes five more appearances.
The Hammers are determined to prevent this from happening and look to offload the Italian striker in the nearest transfer window in January.
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic have already outlined possible replacements.
