John Terry Joins An Elite Club Of Players With His Goal Against Watford

John Terry's 21st minute opener for Chelsea against Watford helped him join a certain premier list Premier League goalscorers. The Chelsea captain has now scored in 17 consecutive seasons. John Terry who scored his first league goal in 2001 against Arsenal has gone on to score 41 goals in total for his boyhood club.

The former England captain has gone on to be a source of goals from defence over the years. The 36 year old who was making his first start since September decided to make his presence felt midway through the first half when he was the first to react to Willian's cross into the box. John Terry was visibly emotional after the goal in what might be his last start for Chelsea. The veteran midfielder went from hero to villain in just a matter of minutes when his weak header back to Asmir Begovic fell kindly to Etienne Capoue who finished to make the scoreline 1-1.

Join Terry now joins Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Frank Lampard who have also scored in 17 consecutive seasons.
