LIST : RB Leipzig, Spartak Moscow And The 16 Other Teams Who Are In Next Season's Champions League




League Football In the major leagues in Europe officially rounded up last night as the Italian league came to a close, there are leagues still going on in the Scandinavian Countries and other parts of Europe, but no team from any of those leagues qualifies directly for the  Champions league through winning the league, therefore it is safe to say that direct qualifications for the 2017/18 UEFA Champions league have been decided, below are the already qualified teams and how they qualified for the competition.

FRANCE
In France the top 2 teams qualify for the competition.

Monaco
Monaco's fantastic season saw them win the French Ligue 1 for the first time in 17 years thereby sealing qualification for next season's Champions League

PSG
PSG had to settle for second spot in Ligue 1 but it was just enough for a Champions League spot.

GERMANY
The Bundesliga is an 18-team league but the successes of their Clubs in the competition give them an advantage. The top three teams in Germany's top league go straight to the Champions league group stages.

Bayern Munich
German Giants Bayern are ever present in the UCL and have qualified as Bundesliga Champions.

RB Leipzig
Newly Promoted RasenBallsport Leipzig took German football by surprise and finished in second place, and totally deserve a UCL place.


Borussia Dortmund
A disappointing season saw Dortmund just crawl over the Champions league finish line and secured Champions league football on the final day ahead of TSG Hoffenheim.

ITALY
The top two teams in the Serie A go straight to the Champions league group stages while the third will have to settle for a playoff.

Juventus

Serie A's Serial Champions Juventus qualified for the Champions league once again by winning the Italian title and will be in the UCL next season to defend the trophy if they overcome Real Madrid on Saturday.

AS Roma

After a one year absence the Giallorossi held on Competition from Napoli to finish second and qualify for the UCL group stages.

SPAIN
The top Three teams in the Spanish La Liga automatically secure a place in Europe Elite club competition.

Real Madrid
A first La liga title since 2012 confirmed Real Madrid's place for next season's competition. They could qualify twice over by beating Juventus in Cardiff on June 3.

Barcelona
Final day heartbreak as they lost the title that has been theirs for the past two seasons, but Champions league qualification was never in doubt for the Blaugrana as they finished second.

Atletico Madrid
The Colchoneros complete the list of the Usual suspects from Spain, it was not a smooth ride to third place but Diego Simeone's side managed to wrap up the business.

PORTUGAL
The top two in Portuguese Primera League make it through to the Champions league.

Benfica
Benfica qualify as Champions.

FC Porto
Porto finish second while Sporting will have to settle for the playoffs.

ENGLAND
The top three teams in England qualify for the Champions league group stages while the fourth will have to go through a playoff.

Chelsea
Antonio Conte's charges raced to the EPL title with 30 wins out of 38 games with performances worthy of a Champions league place.

Tottenham
Spurs are becoming underachievers in the English Premier League but a second place finish and Champions league qualification was never in doubt.

Manchester City
Victory on the final day assured Pep Guardiola's side of a top three finish thereby condemning Liverpool to the playoffs.

Manchester United
A sixth place finish in the league didn't count against the Red Devils as they coasted to the Champions league group stages with Europa league triumph.

NETHERLANDS
Only the Champions of the Eredivisie are guaranteed an automatic Champions league place and Feyenoord did enough on the final day to pip Ajax to the title.

RUSSIA
Champions of the Russian Premier League go directly to the UCL group stages, therefore we would all be watching Spartak Moscow in the competition next season after they outdid CSKA Moscow and Zenit St.Petersburg in the league.
