Arsenal And Barcelona Go Head To Head For Allegri

Barcelona are planning for Luis Enrique's replacement and their main target is the serial winner Massimiliano Allegri who has also been a long term target for Arsenal to replace Wenger.

Five time European Champions Barca have not been at their best compared to previous seasons, and have an uphill task in the Champions league to overturn a 4-0 deficit against PSG and in the league the are still below Real Madrid. Luis Enrique has come under severe criticism for Barcelona's poor form and the Catalan giants seem to be planning for life after the Former Spanish captain and have set their sights on Allegri according to Calciomercato.

Meanwhile in London it is unclear whether the Arsenal Hierarchy will let Arsene Wenger leave at the end of the season as no new contract has been reached.

Wenger has been at Arsenal for 20 years and has come under a lot of pressure especially from the fans due to the club's poor activity during transfer windows and underachievement both in Europe and in the Premier league.

Jose Mourinho Has An Advice For Antonio Conte

In the wake of  Claudio Ranieri's sacking former Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho has advised Antonio Conte to be careful what he wishes for.

The Portuguese has been visibly critical about Ranieri's sacking on social media after guiding Leicester City to the title less than 10 months ago with the odds heavily stacked against Leicester City 5000-1.

Jose Mourinho himself suffered a similar fate about a year ago when he was axed by Roman Abramovich 7 months after winning the league in 2015, Antonio Conte was made Mourinho's permanent successor in the summer of 2016, Chelsea are 11 points clear at the top and are Champions elect but Mourinho believes Conte might be making a rod for his own back.

Mourinho said "I think Antonio Conte has to think about whether he wants to be champion this year!

"I think it is clear from what has happened to the managers who have won the title that football has changed.

"We cannot be naive. We can't believe this is the same football we had 20 years ago or even 10 years ago.

"But other things, the things that surround the industry we are in, are all changing.""

Except Sir Alex Ferguson who retired after winning the league in 2013, every manager who has won the league since 2012 got sacked.

Leicester City Sack Ranieri.. . Did Anyone See It Coming??

Fairly tales do not always have a happy ending, this was the message Leicester City FCs board reminded us of on Thursday as they sacked Claudio Ranieri barely nine months after winning the English Premier League. There aren't many teams who sack their title winning manager after nine months, maybe only teams in 'blue',

"The board reluctantly feels that a change in leadership, while admittedly painful, is necessary in the clubs greatest interest,"read a statement.

Ranieri's sack comes 24 hours after Leicester lost 2-1 to Sevilla in Spain, a game in which the scoreline was a huge positive, considering both their recent form and the prospect of having a psychological advantage with an away goal.

Earlier this month Leicester City gave their 'unwavering support' to the former Juventus manager who came to the King Power Stadium in July 2015.

Leicester City are just one point above the relegation zone and Ranieri's sack might have been a case of  'desperate times calling for desperate measures'.

Juventus Beat 'Stubborn' FC Porto

Two second half goals two minutes apart from two substitutes helped Juventus crack a resilient 10 man Porto.

Marko Pjaca and Daniel Alvez came off the bench to hand Juventus the lead in the tie going into the second leg. The Portuguese team lost Alex Telles after 27 minutes after two yellow card offences.

Juventus threatened in the first half and it was Paulo Dybala that came closest before half time, Pjaca made the Bianconerri's dominance count when he scored 18 minutes from time and Dani Alvez made it two in as many minutes.

Man of The Match Miralem Pjanic had 128 touches of the ball and completed 90% of his 113 passes

Victory was Juventus' fouth successive away 2-0 victory, and qualification seems sure for the Old Lady who have lost just once at home since August 2015.

Advantage Sevilla But Only Just

Spanish team Sevilla were victors on the night at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, but when it looked as if it was over for the foxes Jamie Vardy breathed life into the tie with 17 minutes left to play when he tapped in Danny Drinkwater's cross.

The England International broke his recent goal drought of nine games without scoring with his first goal since December, his last goal came in the victory over Manchester City. Much of the credit however belonged to Leicester's keeper Kasper Schmeichel who saved a first half penalty from Joaquin Correa and kept his team in the game with fantastic saves.

Sevilla had over 70% possession and also hit the woodwork but would have to settle for a slender advantage to take to the King Power Stadium.

Before the game Claudio Ranieri Suggested a victory might be a 'turning point' in Leicester's dismal season and with a lot to still play for the foxes may yet get a morale boosting outcome from the tie, Leicester can dare to dream again for they won all three home games during the group stages and gave a fight in the second half against Sevilla after a disappointing first half.

Elsewhere in Spain there was good news for Sevilla as Real Madrid lost their second game of the season away to Valencia putting Sevilla up for a possible three horse race for the title.

Sevilla Game Could Turn Leicester's Season Around, That's What Ranieri Thinks

Claudio Ranieri Believes his side's first leg tie with Sevilla in Spain could prove to be a turning point in the foxes' season.

Leicester City who were crowned England champions nine months ago are living dangerously in the Premier League and are just a point above the relegation zone. However they have won four out of their six games in Europe.

"This game could be everything," said Ranieri

"If we win, something could change. We need one match like this."

"We know in our mind that we are the underdog," Ranieri added.

Of course Leicester are underdogs because this is their first ever Champions League outing and they travel to a Sevilla side that has lost just twice at home all season (to Barcelona and Juventus).

Leicester City will be without star striker Islam Slimani who is struggling with a groin injury, his European experience could have been handy.

Shinji Okazaki is set to partner Jamie Vardy upfront.

If You Thought Gareth Bale Would Be Leaving Madrid Ryan Giggs Has Got News For You

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs says he doesn't see fellow countryman Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid for the Premier League anytime soon. There have been rumours and reports linking the Welsh winger with a move to Old Trafford but Bale extinguished such thoughts when he signed a contract tying him to the Capital Club till 2022.

Since moving to Real Madrid in 2013 Gareth Bale has managed 66 goals in 140 games and has won the UEFA Champions league twice with the Los Blancos.

"He looks happy at Real Madrid, I don't think he's going anywhere at the moment, from a fan's point of view it would be great to see him back in the Premier League. The United fans would love to see him at Old Trafford. You talk about the big clubs and United is up there. While he's happy there[Madrid], I can't see him leaving." Giggs said according to BBC.

Arsenal Has An Italian Target

According to reports Arsenal has made Napoli midfielder Lorenzo Insigne their number 1 transfer target this summer.

It is alleged that Arsenal had scouts in the stand to watch Napoli's game away to Chievo Verona on Sunday. The Italy International scored a stunner in the game, his eight goal in a season which he also has eight assists.

Napoli will have the upper hand in negotiations with Arsenal because Insigne is tied to the Naples club until 2019.

The Sun reports that Napoli will want a fee of £44m for their youth product.

AC Milan Target Tottenham's Sissoko

Moussa Sissoko Has Not Reached Expected Heights After His Transfer From Newcastle In The Summer.

Tottenham's record signing was hailed as a great one but eight months on Frenchman Sissoko has managed just six premier league starts for Spurs.

AC Milan are monitoring the situation of the 27 year old that was signed for £30million last summer. The former Newcastle man has not impressed and has failed to seal a starting place for the lily whites.

Tottenham are also looking to make Nabil Bentaleb's loan move to Schalke permanent after his appearance in the 1-1 draw against Cologne triggered the clause. Bentaleb was an outcast in Pochettino's team and spurs are looking to make about £16million from the transfer.

Guardiola Says City Cannot Afford To Lose

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged his players to embrace the pressure that comes with the Champions league knockout stage as they prepare to host French Ligue 1 table toppers AS Monaco.

"To be here is not easy,"

"I want to convince the players to enjoy that moment, it is beautiful." Guardiola said, he admitted that critics will 'kill them' if they do not progress.

While Guardiola has reached the semifinals seven times in his managerial career his current team Manchester City has made it to the semifinals just once (last season) and only four times to the knockout phase.

"Our recent history is quite good but over the long history, Manchester City was not here for a long time.

"All of Europe will watch us, to analyse us, to kill us if we don't win or say how good we are if we do." he concluded.

Anthony Martial Is Furious At His New FIFA Rating

Manchester United Forward has called out game makers EA Sports for the rating of his pace. The enjoyed particularly impressive seasons French striker is known for his outbursts of speed and EA Sports recognised that when they rated him 93 PAC.

The 21 year old wasn't pleased with that, and he took to twitter to vent his displeasure. Tweeting "93 pace? How do I get to 99"

EA Sports recently reviewed their ratings on players who have enjoyed particularly impressive seasons, Manchester United players Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia were among them, but Anthony Martial wasn't.

Atletico Willing To Let Gameiro Leave

French Striker Kevin Gameiro was a huge success at sevilla but has not reached anticipated heights at Atletico Madrid.

Several clubs including Tottenham hotspurs are now on red alert as they seek a robust partner for Harry Kane. Gameiro was a key player in Sevilla and helped the then Unai Emery's side to three consecutive Europa League Triumphs.

On Sunday Gameiro came off the bench to score one of the fastest hat-tricks in Spanish football history and took his tally to 11 goals in 33 games but the 29 year old is still not guaranteed a starting place alongside Antoine Griezmann in Diego Simeone's 11.

The RojiBlancos will be willing to let their £35million signing leave this summer (after just one year) and Tottenham is the most likely destination.

Mourinho Says Chelsea Are Already Champions

It seems Jose Mourinho has began the mind games ahead of Manchester United's  FA Cup quarterfinal Clash with Chelsea. The Portuguese handler said that since Chelsea are clearly champions they can now concentrate on the FA Cup game.

"Probably Chelsea can only think about that (the FA Cup) because I think they're champions and have nothing else to fight for" Mourinho said at a post-match conference.

"The FA Cup is something I believe is important to them. I have to play St.Etienne (on Wednesday), I have to play the league cup final, I have to play hopefully another opponent in the Europa League, I have to fight for a top four position in the Premier League."

"I have so many things to think about. The match is in one month's time I don't want to be speaking about it" he concluded.

Manchester United have already visited Stamford Bridge in the Premier League this season and were on the receiving end of a 4-0 thrashing.

Mario Balotelli picked up his third red card of the season when he got into an entanglement with Zargo Toure in the 68th minute.

Wylan Cyprien had put the visitors Nice in front after 15 minutes and they held on for a first away win since November after Mario's dismissal. Nice are now second in the league table, one point and one place above PSG who play today.

In the reverse fixture back in October Balotelli also picked up a red card after two bookable offences.

Since moving to France Italian striker Balotelli has managed 11 goals for the club and has been called back to the Italian National Team.

Asamoah Gyan Found Guilty Of.. . Not What You Think

According to the BBC Ghana's captain Gyan who was recently in Gabon for the Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana has been found guilty of keeping 'unethical hairstyle' under United Arab Emirates Football Association Guidelines. The 31 year old along with 40 other players have been found guilty.

Some islamic teachings ban 'Qaza' hairstyles which includes mohawks, because only part of the hair is shaved, leaving other parts unshaven.

The BBC has asked UAEFA for clarification on its guidelines and is awaiting response. In 2012 Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah was told to cut his 'unislamic' hair before playing for his clubside Al Shabab, because the Saudi rule bans mohawk cuts.

Gyan is currently on loan at Dubai-based Arabian Gulf league side Al Ahli from Shanghai SIPG.

Danny Rose Turns Down Chinese Move Plus Other Transfer News

Tottenham Hotspurs left back Danny Rose has reportedly turned down a move to Chinese club Shanghai SIPG to stay at White Hart Lane and win trophies. The 26 year would have been on a wage of £285,000 a week had he made the move.

Tottenham Hotspurs Want Zaha

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is a fan of Crystal Palace forward Wifred Zaha and plans to bring him to Tottenham. The 24 year old who declared himself available for Ivory Coast just before AFCON 2017 has been one of the shinning lights for Palace this season. Tottenham have already had a £12m bid for the attacker turned down, Crystal Palace values the player at £25m.

Marcelo Bielsa Is Back

Tuchel Questions Aubameyang's Body Language

The Gabonese misfired continually as Dortmund lost 1-0 to Benfica in Portugal.

Borrussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has hit out at striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following their 1-0 loss to Benfica in the first leg of their Champions league round of 16 tie. The Gabonese missed two clear chances and then went on to fire a penalty straight at the opposition keeper.

Tuchel took the striker out of his misery when Aubameyang was then replaced by Andre Schurrle in the 62nd minute.

Talking about why he removed Aubameyang, "Aubameyang is not fully fit after the African Nations Cup. His body language did not suggest that he will do better after giving away the penalty."

Tuchel spoke positively after the game, expressing hope for the second leg and a possibility of progression.

"I dont think we played well, I think we played outstandingly. That's only possible in football. To play this well and still lose. Luckily, there is a return leg for such games."

"There is a return leg and we will show that we were clearly better then and go through. We were clear through on goal and things didn't work out. Such days happen," said Thomas Tuchel.

Barcelona Might Be Out After Being Battered In Paris

Former Real Madrid man Angel Di Maria scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain thrashed five time winners Barcelona 4-0 on Tuesday.

In a game dominated by the home team Di Maria opened the scoring after 18 minutes, Julian Draxler added a second for the hosts five minutes before the break, from then on it seemed there was no way back into the game for Barcelona. Di Maria added his second when he curled in in the 55th minute and Edinson Cavani rounded off a fantastic win in the 72nd minute.

The MSN trio were largely anonymous for most parts of the game and never made their presence felt.

Luis Enrique and Barca now have it all to do going into the second leg, for no team has ever comeback from a four goal deficit.

Arsenal Big Stars Ask WengerTo Drop Ozil Ahead Of Bayern Munich Clash

German playmaker Mesut Ozil has become subject to criticism as a large fraction of the dressing room feels he is being 'pampered' by Arsene Wenger.

Wenger himself said after the game against Hull that Ozil appears low on confidence and has fallen short technically. Arsenal lost to Everton in December and Arsenal players fault Ozil's failure to challenge Ashley Williams in a biuld up to a goal they conceded.

Lethargic performances against Man City and Chelsea didn't exactly go down well with the Arsenal dressing room.

Sources suggest Ozil is still respected at Arsenal and determined to turn get back to his best form, the reports also suggests he was angry when Arsenal surrendered the lead against City and was apologetic when Arsenal lost to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

But Ozil has never been taken off by Arsene Wenger when Arsenal are chasing a win or a goal and has never even been dropped.

Alex Iwobi has been substituted Eight times when Arsenal are chasing the lead, Lucas Perez has started just two games since his signing from Deportivo La Coruna. Wenger has always stuck with Ozil despite his 'below par' showings but the French handler seems to have seen enough.

See Why Anthony's Next Goal Will Cost United €10m

Anthony Martial has been in and out of the United starting line up this season, but mostly out. There are rumours of a rift between the Frenchman and Portuguese manager Mourinho. There are reports linking Martial to PSG and most recently Tottenham, however Martial's former club AS Monaco will be hoping the striker stays a little longer at Old Trafford.

Martial's next goal for Man United will be his 25th and it will trigger a clause in his transfer that states that Monaco will receive €10m(£8.5m) if the Frenchman reaches 25 goals for United, his goal against Watford was his 24th.

Manchester United will also have to pay €10m when Martial wins his 25th cap for France if he's still at the club(he is currently on 15 caps), and another €10m if he's nominated for the Ballon d'or awards.

Martial joined United for €50m and that fee could rise to €80m if all the clauses are met, in addition Monaco are entitled to 50% of the sell on fee if he's sold above €60m.

Manchester United host St.Etienne on Thursday and Martial will be hoping to add to his number of goals.

Guess Who's Moving To China

According to dailymail  there is increasing fear among the refereeing hierarchy that top referee Mark Clattenburg will quit the Premier League this year.

It is understood that there is interest for the 41 year old from China and the middle east, the United States might also interest the Englishman.

It is said that Clattenburg is increasingly tired of the level of scrutiny which follows high-profile decisions, the latest of such decisions was the failure to disallow Sanchez's handball goal for Arsenal against Hull City on Saturday.

Clattenburg admitted in December that a move to China was an option.

"If an opportunity came along - I am contracted to the Premier League - But I have to look at my long term strategy of my career. How long can I last as a referee?" he said.

"there is no offer on the table but if they made an offer there would be a consideration." he added.

Mark Clatterburg is famed for making eye popping decisions.

In October 2012 Manchester United fans were seen mocking Chelsea fans after a weekend game where Clattenburg sent off Fernando Torres and Branislav Ivanovic and went on to allow Javier Hernandez's offside goal.

In 2016 Clattenburg's reputation soared as he officiated the FA Cup finals, the UEFA Champons'league finals and European Championships finals.

Burnley Exposes Chelsea's Holes, Leicester Will Go Down : 5 Lessons The EPL Came With

5. Nothing Has Changed For Tottenham

Tottenham gave Leicester City a chase in the title race last term until they imploded against Chelsea, losing a two goal lead and finishing third behind eternal rival Arsenal, the same trend is cooking this season because Spurs managed a 1-0 win last week through a penalty and on Saturday they were blown away by a struggling Liverpool. Their final position in the league is anybody's guess.

4. Arsenal's Win Was Just A Sedative

With victory over Hull,Arsenal got the points they needed but not the performance they craved, a first half handball goal by Alexis and 94th minute winner by the same man did not tell the true story about the Gunners' performance and they still have work to do.

3. Man United Still Struggle In Front Of Goal

A 2-0 victory over a resurgent Watford was a great morale boost for Manchester United, but the qualities that has held them in 6th position for 5 months were on show over the weekend, poor finishing is still a yoke the Old Trafford side have to deal with. United scored two goals out of 22 shots (11 on target).

2. Leicester City Will Go Down

With the Champions league coming back, and the poor form and attitude of Leicester players, it is only a matter of time before they get the unwanted honour of being the first team in England's top tier to win the league in one season and get relegated the next.

1. Burnley Exposed Chelsea

Prior to Sunday's game the blues had only lost once (Tottenham) and drawn once (Liverpool) since the inception of Conte's 3-4-3 formation, but on Sunday Burnley used the left wing to great effect, capitalizing on the fact that Eden Hazard likes to wander off leaving Alonso stranded, other struggling teams can learn now.
