German playmaker Mesut Ozil has become subject to criticism as a large fraction of the dressing room feels he is being 'pampered' by Arsene Wenger.
Wenger himself said after the game against Hull that Ozil appears low on confidence and has fallen short technically. Arsenal lost to Everton in December and Arsenal players fault Ozil's failure to challenge Ashley Williams in a biuld up to a goal they conceded.
Lethargic performances against Man City and Chelsea didn't exactly go down well with the Arsenal dressing room.
Sources suggest Ozil is still respected at Arsenal and determined to turn get back to his best form, the reports also suggests he was angry when Arsenal surrendered the lead against City and was apologetic when Arsenal lost to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
But Ozil has never been taken off by Arsene Wenger when Arsenal are chasing a win or a goal and has never even been dropped.
Alex Iwobi has been substituted Eight times when Arsenal are chasing the lead, Lucas Perez has started just two games since his signing from Deportivo La Coruna. Wenger has always stuck with Ozil despite his 'below par' showings but the French handler seems to have seen enough.
