Tottenham And Chelsea Face Major Setback In Ross Barkley Bid
Everton's youngster Ross Barkley has been a target for English clubs Chelsea And Tottenham in this transfer window. The England midfielder appeared to be surely on his way out of Goodison Park when Everton manager Ronald Koeman left the 23 year old out of the squad that played Stoke City on the opening weekend of the league.
Barkley's move away from Goodison park this summer have only been scuppered by an asking price of 50m, however the highly anticipated move may not materialize anymore, at least not this summer as Barkley has been hit with a torn hamstring that will rule him out for six weeks.
The midfielder only returned to training last week after missing his side's pre-season games and looked to have overcome his affliction but it was reported on Monday that Barkley sustained fresh Setback in his recovery that will see the player out for about six weeks.
His move to either Tottenham or Chelsea is looking highly unlikely at the moment.
