Germany set a new record in European World Cup Qualifying as they demolished Azerbaijan 5-1 in Germany. Joachim Low's men who were already assured of a place in Russia after overcoming Northern Ireland on Thursday finished off Group C with a 100% record and a +39 goal difference.
The Diemannschaft bettered Spain's achievement in the 2010 World Cup qualification where they also won all 10 qualifying games but with a goal difference of +23. There's more spice to Germany's qualification - 21 different players scored in the qualifiers more than any nation.
