Mourinho Says He's A Better Manager Now Than At Chelsea.. .Y'all Believe Him?
Jose Mourinho who has had spells at FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid is of the opinion that Manchester United are seeing the best of his coaching career.
After winning two major trophies in his first year at United, the Portuguese believes he is a much better coach now than he was at any of his previous clubs thanks to a more mature outlook.
I am a much better coach today, precisely because of the different control of my emotions. The way I deal with difficulties. I feel more mature." Mourinho told Portuguese Publication Record. Jose Mourinho's Manchester United have put a disappointing 6th place finish last term behind them and are second on goal difference heading into the International break.
The Setubal born manager also believes Romelu Lukaku has developed since his time at other clubs to be one of the most feared strikers in World Football by seizing every opportunity. Lukaku has scored seven goals in seven league games this season after picking United over his previous employers Chelsea in the summer.
When asked about Lukaku's blistering start Mourinho added : "I don't want to speak about this progress because if I do that it looks like we have done something extraordinary in three months- something he hasn't done in other years of his career.
"It's not fair. It's been about evolution. I think every step in his career he has got it, he has grabbed it with both hands since his first loan to West Brom.
"He grabbed the opportunity with both hands, fighting for his evolution. He has been very strong in his desire to be playing in a team with other objectives now."
