Daily Mail reports that Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli is ready to challenge Tottenham's wage structure as talks for a new contracts near. Alli is ready to put himself on a collision course with Tottenham over his proposed new contract.
Alli who is on £50,000-a-week is set to insist on becoming the club's top earner, the 21-year-old's demand will test Spurs' rigid pay structure which has Harry Kane as the best paid player at the club at £100,000-a-week.
Alli will reportedly ask for well over what his compatriot Kane is earning at the club, knowing fully well he can earn £200,000-a-week somewhere else.

Kane Is Currently The Highest Earner At Spurs
It's anybody's guess whether Tottenham will be willing to grant Alli's heart desires, the club are currently building a new stadium and the lack of trophies in the past two seasons (despite performing well) is another factor for the club. The stringent wage bill at Spurs has been well documented in recent seasons with their best players knowing they can actually earn more at other clubs.
Another factor working against the England midfielder is the fact that he is yet to reproduce his great form of the last two seasons and the Tottenham board feel the MK Dons youth player might be distracted by off-field activities.
In August Alli reportedly parted ways with his long-term agent Rob Segal with rumours of a big money switch in the offing and it is reported that super agents Mino Raiola and Jorge Mendes want to add the midfielder to their list of players.
Real Madrid who are admirers of the 21 year old are monitoring the whole situation and it is understood the midfielder will welcome a switch to the Bernabeu in the future.
