Nyerinda Claims Zambia's 'Small' Players Are Ready For Nigeria

Zambia's manager Wedson Nyirenda has declared that the World Cup Qualifier between his Chipolopolos and the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be purely down to wits, this is according to CompleteSports .

The Zambian team endured a 2-1 loss to Nigeria at home on Matchday 1 of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers but Nyirenda has a word of advice for his West African adversaries, the manager is of the opinion that the Eagles will be up against a different side from the one they beat last  year.

"They (Super Eagles) need to win to get to Russia so do we as well and the best team will carry the day.

"Every match is a new game. We lost to Nigeria last year and I think it was with a different team totally from this one and this time we have a different (sic) from the one that lost to Nigeria.

"We have a strong team so Saturday's game will be a game of wits and the best team will carry the day." Nyirenda said prior to their closed training session at the G.A Stadium in Uyo on Friday.

Nyirenda firmly insists that names don't win a game and he has 11 players who are ready to take on Nigeria's big names. The manager went ahead to confirm that Patson Daka who was a major doubt before the game is fit for the encounter. Daka scored the winner in the game against Algeria last month.

A Victory for Nigeria will secure Russia 2018 qualification for them, a Victory for Zambia will see them level on points with the Nigerians going into the last group game in November while a draw will mean Nigeria will require just a draw on MD 6 to make it to Russia.
