London Club Meets Hernandez's Buyout Clause

According to Metro Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez could be on his way back to the English Premier League after West Ham tabled a 'serious' bid for the Mexican.

After a loan spell at Real Madrid , Chicharito finally found his footing in Germany after moving to Bayer Leverkusen in 2015. A lack of game time forced the striker out of Old Trafford but it now seems he will be heading back to London.

West Ham Are willing to pay the £13m release clause to acquire the services of the 29 year old. The Mirror claims The Hammers have informed Bayer Leverkusen already.

Hernandez has scored 39 goals in 79 games for Bayer Leverkusen racking up 9 assists along the way, Hernandez who has a year left on his current contract will walk away for free next summer if a deal is not agreed but Bayer Leverkusen are willing to cash in on West Ham's offer.

The striker who is currently on International duty with Russia in the FIFA Confederations cup is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League with Tottenham briefly scouting the player. After missing out on Champions league football Leverkusen now find themselves in a situation where they could lose their best players.

West Ham are desperate to sign a World Class striker after having several bids rejected in an already busy summer.
