Police in The United States have confirmed that Belgian Striker Romelu Lukaku has been arrested in Beverly Hills, California and is due to appear in court on October 2.
Lukaku who is set to have a medical ahead of a £75m move from Everton to Manchester United was arrested on July 2 after officers warned him five times to turn down party music at the same location and was given 'misdemeanor citation' .
Lukaku has been on holiday in the US, and Manchester United's record signing Paul Pogba have recently posted pictures of the pair on social media taking fitness sessions together. There is no suggestion the French midfielder was with Lukaku at the scene.
The officers apparently gave out 'verbal warnings' to the player before the arrest. Lukaku is expected to complete his United switch in time to link up with his new club and teammates for pre season.
Manchester United play Real Madrid on August 8th in the UEFA Super Cup five days before their Premier League opener against West Ham, but Lukaku's hearing will come up during an International break, Belgium travel to play Bosnia and Herzegovinia on 7th October before hosting Cyprus three days later.
