Three Reasons Why Arsene Wenger Shouldn't Be Arsenal's Mugabe

After a 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich and a double loss in a season to Liverpool for the first time since 2002 it is no doubt Mr. Wenger is in Arsenal fans' 'worst' book, these are the reasons why they need a change.

1. European Success Is Near Impossible

Realistically speaking the thought of continental success should be a forgone alternative in the mind of every Arsenal faithful, 2006 was the only time the Frenchman guided the club to a fruitless finals against Barcelona, ever since the North London club has been inching backwards steadily in Europe, seven consecutive last 16 exits and the most recent 10-2 drubbing at the hands of Bayern is proof that it might be time for the Mr.Wenger to move on.

2. Reluctance In The Transfer Market

In August 2011 when Manchester United beat Arsenal 8-2 at Old Trafford, Arsene wenger moved to make acquisition in the transfer market the next day after a visible reluctance during the start of the window. The same thing keeps repeating itself season after season with the former Monaco manager expressing little or no interest to add to the squad, the acquisition of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez were good but the club needs more and more and more of players like this, during the 2016 summer transfer window N'golo Kante was desperately available and so was a lot of other exciting talent. Arsenal is now in need of a 'spending manager'.

3. The Balance Of Football Is Changing

A quick glance at the managers in the Premier League will simply tell you that there's a trend of 'new' and 'young' managers, not just in the EPL but indeed around Europe and the world at large. Jose Mourinho and David Moyes who are in their early 50s suddenly look old compared to the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte, Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Co.Claudio Ranieri said it after winning the league with Leicester in May that 'this was a one off' and of course it was and even at that the Italian adapted a more modern approach.  Arsene Wenger has seen more days and of course overseen more games than any other current EPL manager, but football is changing and It is a bitter truth Wenger isn't changing with it.
