According to telegragh Pep Guardiola has revealed he wants to focus on signing English players in the summer in order to give Manchester City's squad a strong core of domestic talent.
Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker of Tottenham as well as Sunderland's keeper Jordan Pickford are all being tracked by Manchester City.
Guardiola believes the most successful clubs have a large number of homegrown talent, citing Spanish players were crucial to his success at Barcelona and German players did the same at Bayern.
Guardiola added that City are likely to come across problems in signing players both in England and also on the continent as player prices will be hiked.
Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are two of Spurs players who are in the England National team.
Whether Guardiola succeeds in his new found venture is yet to be seen because Tottenham will hold on tightly to their English talents and so will their rivals. The current top 6 will hardly sell to a direct rival.
