Mourinho Names The Three Players He Would Never Have Sold.. .Do You Agree With Him??
According to Jose Mourinho Manchester United made several errors in the transfer market before his arrival in the summer of 2016.
The Portuguese went about the hectic business of restructuring the squad on his arrival and has spent close to £150m in the acquisition of Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Mourinho went on to make it clear that there were sales and buys that would never have happened if he was in charge at the time of those transactions.
"Manchester United sold players I would never sell and bought that I would never buy" he told BBC
"I would never have sold Di Maria,Chicharito,Welbeck - never , no chance."
Angel Di Maria was sold to PSG after enduring a miserable 2014/15 campaign.
Chicharito was previously loaned to Real Madrid in the 2014/15 season before being sold to Bayer Leverkusen at the start of the 2015/16 season. Danny Welbeck is a local lad and his sale came as a surprise to many when the made the switch to Arsenal in 2014.
Mourinho did not name the players he wouldn't have signed but he let Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay leave in the January transfer window after a frustrating first half of the season, he has frozen out Bastian Schweinsteiger for large parts of this campaign and publicly criticised Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial.
