The International break has come to an end, the qualifiers have come and gone but there are World Cup 'regulars' who are walking the thin line that might see them miss out on next year's mundial in Russia.
1. Netherlands
The dutch pride themselves as the inventors of total football and rightly so but there has been a steady decline in dutch football in recent years, their absence at the Euros last year in France was just scratch in what has now appeared to be a decaying wound and a 2-0 loss to Bulgaria did not do any good to the team in their qualification bid, they have 7 points from a possible 15 and sit fourth in a group of six and have sacked head coach Danny Blind.
2. Argentina
Lionel Messi's four game ban by FIFA came at the wrongest time for the Albiceleste who till that point had an indifferent qualification, but loss to supposed minnows Bolivia on Tuesday night has seen the white and blue drop out of the Automatic qualification places and will play their next three without their star player and Captain.
3. Chile
Victory for Chile and Argentina's loss to Bolivia catapulted the South American champions to 4th (an automatic qualification spot) from 6th, but performances have hardly convinced. The back to back Continental champions are hardly safe as they have Argentina and Ecuador still breathing down their necks.
4. USA
They are not exactly world powers like the aforementioned trio but they have a knack for constantly appearing at the World Cup, in the CONCACAF group USA have 4 points from a possible 12 and they are below Panama on the log. Three teams come to the World Cup from the CONCACAF zone (the third team goes through a playoff) and with USA 4th in a group of six, it is safe to say the odds aren't exactly in their favour
