Monaco Put £130m Price Tag On Mbappe
The race to sign teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe has taken a new turn as the French club has put a £130m price tag on the young striker. Manchester United lead the chase to sign the wonder-kid but there is competition from a host of other clubs that has caused Monaco slap the bank-busting amount on a teenager.
Chelsea and Arsenal have made their interests towards Mbappe well known in the past six months, Spanish giants Real Madrid and French club Paris St Germain have also declared their interest, but unless any club is prepared to smash the current record transfer fee by over £30 million Mbappe would not be going anywhere anytime soon.
Manchester United has had an earlier substantial offer turned down by the French Ligue 1 club, it is reported that Monaco plan to offload unwanted players this summer but Mbappe does not appear to be on that list. It was only in 2016 Mbappe signed a new deal tying him at Monaco for another three years therefore Monaco have a strong position in bargaining.
The 18 year old's Dad that believes the striker's best chance of making the French team for Russia 2018 is to remain with Monaco, well that's not really a morale booster for his plenty suitors.
