Spanish giants Barcelona are eyeing a shock £40m transfer for Diego Costa According to Metro. The Brazilian born striker was left out of the Chelsea team that beat Leicester on Saturday due to a bust-up with manager Antonio Conte , Conte however claimed after the game that the striker's absence was due to a back injury and not a disagreement.
After a dismal 2015/16 campaign Costa was poised for a move back to his former club Athletico Madrid but Conte convinced the 28 year old to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona have arguably the most potent frontline in Europe but they have struggled this season for being too one dimensional and might want to enhance their options.
