Manchester City have officially completed the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras for £27m and has been given the permission to field him in their Premier League tie against Tottenham on Saturday.
The 19 year old agreed a move to Man City last summer but remained with Palmeiras until the end of the Brazilian league in December as it was part of the deal.
Jesus arrived Manchester in the first week of January but couldn't feature as the Football Association had to complete examining documents about the deal.
"He has the potential to become one of the best attacking players in the game," said city's director of football Txiki Begiristain. According to a City statement Gabriel Jesus has been given the number 33, the age of Jesus.
Gabriel Jesus comes into the team at a crucial time for Man City who are coming off the back of a 4-0 hammering by Everton and face Tottenham on Saturday in the standout fixture this weekend.
