Real Madrid Lose Again And That Was A Real Shocker

Three goals in six minutes was just enough for Real Madrid to lose again

After 40 games without a loss Real Madrid have now suffered back to back defeats for the first time in over a year. The Spanish giants were initially on a run for eight months without losing but 2 losses in 4 days reminds us how quickly things can change in football.

Real Madrid fell behind when Iago Aspas scored in the 64th minute for his 16th goal of the season, the home side replied almost immediately when Marcelo volleyed in a beauty from the edge of the area, but a quick counter attack saw Jonny restore the lead for the visitors in a matter of seconds.

Madrid striker Karim Benzema wasted an opportunity with eight minutes to go when he blazed over the bar from close range.

Real Madrid now have it all to do in the second leg and also in the league before the question marks increase.
