Hosts Gabon Exit AFCON 2017.. .Well We Didn't See This One Coming

Gabon's Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Scored The First Goal Of The Competition But It Didn't Prevent His Side From Crashing Out In The Group Stage.
Aubameyang missed from close range early on in the game when he fired blank from two yards out, Gabon missed a flurry of chances especially in the early stages. Aubameyang now has another track to add to his album of AFCON disappointments after his penalty miss cost The Panthers semi-final place in 2012.

Cameroun held on for a point after they put in a poor showing themselves, but they managed to sneak through to the Quarter Finals.

Elsewhere

Burkina Faso progressed as group winners after seeing of Guinea Bissau, level on points with Cameroun but with a better goal difference. Guinea Bissau who were debutants in the competition looked more likely to open the scoring, but two goals in either half for the 2013 finalists gave them top spot in Group A
