Liverpool Edge Plymouth In FA Cup Second Leg , Thanks To Their Brazilian

Lucas Leiva has been at Liverpool since 2007 but goalscoring is not his strongest suit. The Brazilian scored the only goal at plymouth, his first goal in over five years as Liverpool edged Plymouth to go through.

A frustrating draw meant the reds had to travel to the home of the league two club, a 293 mile journey. Plymouth are 3 leagues and 66 places below Liverpool in the English Football set up but were in the game for long periods even after Lucas' 18th minute header that gave the hosts the lead. Plymouth came closest to equalise when Jerk Jervis hit the woodwork in the second half.
Liverpool will now face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
