FA Charges Arsene Wenger With Misconduct
Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger Has Been Charged With Misconduct After He Shoved And Verbally Abused Fourth Official Anthony Taylor In Their 2-1 Victory Against Burnley.
Arsenal were leading 1-0 in the 3rd minute of added time when referee John Moss awarded Burnley a penalty that prompted Wenger to react angrily to the decision and he was subsequently sent to the stands and on his way he pushed and directed insults at Anthony Taylor.
"Ït is alleged that in or around the 92nd minute, Wenger used abusive and/or insulting words towards the fourth official. It is further alleged that following his dismissal from the technical area, his behaviour in remaining in the tunnel area and making physical contact to the fourth official amounted to improper conduct." A statement from the Football Association read.
Arsene Wenger who has since apologised for his conduct has until 6pm GMT on Thursday to appeal the charge.
