Xabi Alonso Announces He's Retiring At The End Of The Season
Bayern Munich's World Cup winning midfielder has confirmed he will be retiring from the game when the the season ends.
According to Daily Mail, the Spaniard will not move on when his contract expires in the summer, instead retire for good.
Although they accept his decision Bayern Munich is open to a negotiations in case he changes his mind. Alonso retired from International duty after the disappointing World Cup outing in 2014.
Xabi Alonso is kown as the 'coolest man' in football because of his dress sense off the field and intelligence on the field. Rafa Benitez signed Alonso from Real Betis and he won the Champions League and FA Cup with Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were his next two clubs.
Alonso has also won domestic Leagues and Cups in both Spain and Germany in addition to the World Winners' Cup Medal in 2010 and UEFA Euro Winners' medal in 2008 and 2012 for Spain.
