Paul Pogba Scored His 7th Goal For United As They Lost 2-1 Away To The Tigers And Surrendered A 17 game Unbeaten Run In Their 2-1 Loss To Hull City.
Manchester United progressed to the final of the EFL Cup on goal difference on Thursday Evening with a 3-2 aggregate result in favour of the Red Devils.
Hull City scored in the the first half when Tom Huddlestone put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot , a lot of handling went on in the area , Marcos Rojo's foul being the most visible of the offences.
Hull City scored the winner in the 85th minute through Oumar Niasse, but it was Mourinho's side that held on to give the Portuguese a decent birthday present by qualifying for the February 26th finals against Southampton in Wembley.
Hull City gave a good account of themselves in a game they had to win, but it was the first leg result that came back to haunt them. Mourinho now has the chance to join Brian Clough and Sir Alex Ferguson on four League Cup wins at Wembley.
